This project was the renovation of a historic eleven-story apartment building in the Rittenhouse Square area of Philadelphia that offers 144 single-room occupancy apartments for low-to-moderate income individuals. Kate’s Place was constructed in 1926 as the Warburton Hotel and was converted into the Lucy Eaton Smith residence for single, low-income women by the Dominican Sisters of Elkins Park in 1952.
